Year End Banquet and Team Awards

Attention All 2009/2010 Us Guys,

There are some important details and tasks that we'll require everyone mark on their calendars.

This years Gorge Year End Banquet now has an official date: FRIDAY March 26th, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima, Portuguese Hall in Royal Oak.

If you were in attendance last season, you'll know how great of a party this is!  All players have been accounted for banquet attendance BUT because of a few teams not completing banquet requirements in the past, they are doing away with tickets this season..  which means we can NOT allocate free tickets for guests.

Teams/Player/Guests attendance will be confirmed by team lists at the door... and therefore teams are encouraged to have entire team turnouts.  Guests now cost $25 and a full count for guests will be collected by me (Yanni), including $money$ a few weeks before the banquet (by Sunday March 14th).

As well... each team is asked to donate a door prize or 2 for the evening.  Please give suggestions or gifts/donations to Jason or Yanni, otherwise we'll purchase Monkey Tree gift cards to give on behalf of the team.

Secondly is Awards, each year each team receives an award for MVP, Most Improved & select teams a Most Inspirational players (we do).

Therefore, we will need votes from each player to choose 1 player for each award.  Jason will have an online poll created on our website to complete your player choice.  Obviously, you won't be able to vote for yourself!  Choose 1 player for each award, and the winners will be announced at the awards banquet on March 26th.

Votes must be in no later than February 7th.  If you haven't gotten them in by then, you will miss your chance to vote for your team mates!

Also... the Gorge Banquet is ALWAYS semi formal.  This means, NO jeans, NO t-shirts, etc... including guests.  Trust me, if you do, you'll stand out and have plenty of people staring at you because you'll really stand out.  A Div 3 woman's team won best dressed last year (trust me, they were looking hot, just ask Luke...) so let's represent our teams hard work and win this year!

P.S.  year end 'team' party will also be well hosted and represented... this date has yet to be schedule but will most likely be held early March, possibly March 6th or 13th weekends (it'll be on a Saturday).
